Why WE ARE CALLED
'Raising Hearts'
“The first sign of human life is a beating heart.
It is the heart that always leads. It knows. It feels.
We are FEELING beings who THINK.
It is our hearts we need to raise first”

About Me
Globally Recognized Trauma-Informed Parenting Coach
M.A in Holistic Psychology
After leading top publications like Cosmopolitan Middle East, HELLO!, and MASALA! for over a decade, Kavita stepped away in 2019 to heal from chronic postpartum distress. Her journey led her to Dr. Shefali Tsabary, whose teachings uncovered the childhood trauma at the root of her struggles.
Now a certified Parenting Coach and a scholar pursuing her MA and PhD in Holistic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Kavita specializes in Adverse Childhood Experiences, Child Therapy, and Trauma. Through her weekly Khaleej Times columns, she empowers parents to raise emotionally healthy children—with the support she wishes her own parents had received.
Kavita’s mission is clear: to help families heal and grow with conscious presence and compassion.

The Power of Healing: Live in Abundance

We had a parenting workshop with Kavita. It was a great experience. Leaving with so much wisdom.

Had an amazing session with Kavita focused on a reading and working with trauma and the mother wound. Very powerful session… Love Illuminations and been coming since 2009 and plan to continue.

I am so grateful to Kavita for her generosity. I am so happy about being a part of the Raising Hearts community and attending her workshops. Her workshop on ADHD especially helped me see my child in a completely different light. Her knowledge and compassion is unparalleled.

I started working with Kavita in 2020 no knowing what to expect. Her compassionate and insightful approach helped me reconnect and heal parts of myself that I had long forgotten. With her support and guidance for 3 years, I gained a deeper understanding of my emotions and patters, leading to a sense of peace and better parenting. I’m so grateful to her, working with her has improved my relationship with myself, my children, my spouse and my loved ones.

Session with Kavita Srinivasan is exactly what I needed. She helped me to validate things and make sense of what is happening currently in my life. Her compassion and intuitive guidance provide perfect setting to be able to open and discover deep things within. I have booked 4 more sessions and look forward to working with her.

Kavita, during this time, your page helped me so much to shift gears to being ‘real’ more than being ‘perfect’. I’m so grateful you choose to help us out sans judgement and with so much understanding. Your opening up helps a very reticent me to do the same.

I was at a panel and heard Kavita speak about parenting. She said something that really spoke to me: that we all hate being mothers sometimes and that we need to embrace that more. I had just had a baby and did not feel any happiness being around her. After working with Kavita for close to 2 years, I have transformed my relationship with myself and my child. I had just been in deep pain and she helped me release and feel it deeply. I am so grateful to her.

What sets Kavita apart is her vulnerability. She shares her wisdom through her growth, through doing the hard work and through sharing her process. I came across her work through her columns in the Khaleej Times and read what she wrote about Postpartum Depression. No one had ever spoken about it like she did. Finally, someone spoke the truth. I am grateful for her voice and her honesty.

Working with Kavita is a journey within to meet the highest and truest version of yourself. A journey to meet your inner child who has been unseen and who is also in so much pain and trauma. Kavita guides you through the process of meeting her whilst she is angry, hurt, and suffering and with Kavita’s support and patience you learn how to embrace your own emotions and pain. Kavita helps you rebuild and reunite with your inner wounds and gently heals you in profound ways. My journey with this process transformed me from pain to power. I no longer fear the dark. I now embrace it with an open heart. Thank you, Kavita.
